Rothwell 4 HMW U14's 0

The disappointed Hemsworth girls suffered their first loss since November and to a team that they had won 4-1 in their last meeting.

Rothwell played Hemsworth off the pitch today and were better in every way therefore deserved the victory.

Looking at the girls faces at the final whistle we knew that being met with a dressing down was not the right tactic, as every player knew already that they had not played their best game.

So lets focus on the positives....

The second half was definetly a lot better having taken on board Sids advice of playing out to the wings and using the field a lot more. Only 1 goal was conceded which showed a massive improvement on the first half. (Sid is the manager, let him manage you, or he might as well stay in bed on a weekend!!).

Becky's confidence grew allowing her to push forward supporting the front players with some great through balls.
Tiff and Chloe were the ones that responded to Sids request of heading the high balls!!
Jodie did a first class job of taking the main defender out of play.
New Goalie Nichaela made some lovely saves and kicked some fabulous long balls out down the field. Chazzie's slide tackles were in fine form today and Georgi (new boots) had yet another strong game. Chels and Chloe made some super runs down the wings to put in some good crosses.
Linzi stayed focused and ready for action in the back, while Katie stayed in good position out on the wing as directed by Sid. Ebony, Nicky, Amy and Kelly were all really unlucky not to have got their names on the score sheet.

So you see girls not all was bad but remember no match is lost by one or two individuals, the whole TEAM is responsible for losses as well as victories!!
So back to the drawing board (training to you), where you can put todays game behind you and focus on the remaining games, Shield semi final and the summer tournaments that you all look forward to.

Managers P.O.M - Georgi and Nichaela
