There were many long balls from the back which nearly paid off as Ebony, Kelly and Amy all just missed out on converting them into goals.Wigton had their chance to even the score in the first half with a penalty which went way off target, much to Nicheala's relief.
The second half was pretty much end to end play as the determination of both sides grew. Wigton broke the dead lock with a scrappy goal, and again after end to end play with a good long shot, in the last 10 minutes.
Hemsworth kept on attacking and a good quick throw from Tiff near the corner, allowed George to crack the ball into the bottom corner of the net in the last minute of the game, to give a final score of 2 all.
Leah in her debut game showed enthusiasm and worked hard out on the right wing. George and Chazzie played exceptionally well and Linzi bravely came back into the game after a busted nose.
Overall a good team performance against strong winds and strong opposition!!
