Presentation Evening - Celebration of the 2009/10 Season

The girls presentation finally arrived (Friday 9th July), every year more and more players, parents, brothers, sisters and relatives make the trip to this annual event. Over the past few weeks it became obvious that the clubhouse would not hold all the people attending the U15's presentation so the Marquee was prepared for duty.

The evening began with Sid's memories of his, currently, 8 years association with the Club and the changes that have taken place over that time, bringing it upto date when after a difficult start to the season the girls came good with their recent win in the West Riding Girls Shield Final.
Soon it was time for his annual chat with each of the girls as he began to hand out their much deserved individual trophies.

Becky Fretwell picked up the Manager's Player Of The Year Trophy.
Georgina Akeroyd was nominated the Players Player Trophy.
Melissa Williams picked up the Most Improved Player's Trophy.
Linzi Healy was awarded The Most Consistent Player's Trophy


Starting in the early evening the girls celebrated their season together, Long standing players, newbies and the very new Natalie, all taking the opportunity to enjoy themselves. When it finally got dark enough the girls were given another surprise. Selected photos from the very early years of the team (2003-04) until last week had been made into a slideshow for them to watch.

A very hard season girls, but a massive well done for showing determination and guts and maintaining first division status! We are all looking forward to the next season!
