The first game of the season got off to a fair start today, with Hemsworth losing 2 goals to nil, but in all fairness they should have bagged this match today.
The first half saw some good football with all the right tactics in place amounting to nothing. A number of players had good shots at the goal but Silsden opened the scoring with a messy goal in the goalmouth.
The second half saw great opportunities open but the good Silsden keeper had the upperhand. Jodie, Charlotte and Briony were unlucky not to score.
Hemsworth, regardless of having no subs, worked hard, in particular Tiff, Jodie and George who gave 100%, running relentlessly in mid supporting both the strikers and the defenders.
